The World Eskimo-Indian Olympics will be held in Fairbanks, Alaska. An amazing annual event worth watching where Alaskan Natives get to show off their skills! Survival of the fittest is nothing new to these incredible athletes! The unusual eventsshowcase strengths like no other competition. With events such as the Four Man Carry,Two-Foot High Kick, and the Ear Pull don’t expect a boring performance from these dedicated folks.Many new records are set each year! Celebrate Fairbanks’ Gold Rush Age! The founding of Fairbanks has been happily hosted by the Chamber of Commerce for the past 60 years. Held July 18th-22nd the theme this year is; “Let the Gold Times Roll!”
Alaska’s largest parade takes place at this special event. Along with other activities such as kids day, the rubber ducky races, historic reenactments and comedy night. Watch a wonderful can-can show by the Fairbanks Golden Heart Dancers. The streets are lined with fair tents and fun places for you to enjoy!
Try your luck in the Golden Days Rubber Ducky Race where hundreds of numbered, yellow rubber duckies float down the Chena River to the cheers of ticket-holders on the riverbanks who hope to claim the race’s pot.

July 15th-29th
The University of Fairbanks Alaska’s campus is open to the participants of the Art Festival. A two week event for people of any level to have an opportunity to study art in all art forms. This program is meant to show you the love and enjoyment of art
regardless of accomplishment. Under the Midnight Sun approximately 1,000 people register and participate with over 100 guest artists and workshops in music, visual arts, literary arts, theatre arts, culinary arts, dance and healing arts with dozens of performances.
